Special Guests
We are excited to have some special guests joining us on Saturday at Pedal Suffolk. Like all of us, they are both passionate about all things cycling and will be joining us to view the exhibits, chat to guests and ride with us!
On Saturday evening, there will also be a FREE presentation in our marquee with an open Q&A session, discussing how technology has transformed our sport and hobby – bikes, kit and riding. Everything has evolved except our shared passion for riding!
Dan Bigham
We’re thrilled to welcome Dan Bigham, one of the most innovative and accomplished figures in modern time trialling. A former World Hour Record holder, European Champion and Olympic medallist, Dan has competed — and succeeded — at the very highest level of the sport.
With a background in engineering and a relentless focus on aerodynamics and marginal gains, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the evolution of cutting-edge time trial technology within elite cycling. Now, Head of Engineering at Red Bull-BORA-Hansgrohe, Dan works to make some of the sports top athletes even faster, including current world TT champion, Remco Evenepoel, who he’ll be working with at the Tour de France shortly after joining us at the Pedal Suffolk Festival!
Ride with Dan on Saturday and join him afterwards at the PedalRetro show, where he’ll be showcasing some of his own bikes in our show arena. In the evening join us for a FREE presentation and Q&A, where he’ll share his insights on how time trial bikes — and the sport itself — have transformed over the decades.
Alex Dowsett
We’re delighted to be joined by CAMS Ambassador, Alex Dowsett, one of Britain’s most accomplished and recognisable time trial specialists. A multiple-time National Time Trial Champion and former World Hour Record holder, Alex has competed at the very highest level of professional cycling, riding the Tour de France earning stage victories in races such as the Giro D’Italia and representing his country on the world stage.
Renowned for his commitment to the discipline of time trialling, Alex has witnessed first-hand the rapid evolution of equipment, aerodynamics and performance science. Alex now works for top flight team XDS Astana as a Performance Engineer, optimising the teams TT performances.
He’ll be riding alongside participants in Saturday’s road sportives before taking part in our evening presentation and Q&A, discussing how time trial bikes have developed through the decades — perfectly fitting our exhibition celebrating the largest collection of time trial bikes through the ages.

TT Reunion
We also plan to gather the biggest ever assembly of time-trialling bikes through the decades, from the fixed-wheel specials of the early days of the sport to the super lightweight drilled specials of the 60s, to the short wheelbase specials of the 70s and low-profile and carbon monocoques of the 80s and 90s.
Time-trialling was the club and racing mainstay of our sport during the 50s-90s and we hope our offer to host a reunion of past riders, bikes, memorabilia and long stories will bring out the largest ever collection of histroic time trial bikes, riders and past champions.
Our special guests for the day, former World Hour Record holders, Dan Bigham and Alex Dowsett will be on-hand all day riding and chatting to us and no doubt, as self-confessed bike geeks themselves, drooling over TT bikes over the ages. They are bringing some of there iconic and current machines aswell!
Cycle Jumbles
Across both days, there will also be a Cycle Jumble for riders and guests to explore. Expect bikes, parts, clothing and gear from every corner of the sport — road, MTB or BMX — whether you’re hunting for retro gold or modern kit at a great price.
You might uncover a bargain, track down that elusive component, or simply enjoy a proper rummage through cycling history. Either way, it’s all part of the weekend at the Pedal Suffolk Festival.
