WHY RIDE WITH TPR EVENTS

Thoughtfully organised events that feel every bit as good as the route itself.

From the first signpost to the finish line, all TPR events are built around inclusivity, quality, atmosphere, value for money and the kind of details riders actually notice on the day.

Properly signed routes

Clear, well-planned routes shaped by local knowledge, so you can focus on the ride rather than second-guessing every turn.

Food, drink & rider support

Well-stocked stops, friendly volunteers, and mechanical support out on the route to keep you fuelled and moving.

Memories worth keeping

Bespoke medals, rider plaques, event photography and those little finishing touches that make the day feel special. Also, courtesy of our friends at Adnams, all riders receive a FREE can of Adnams too!

Great venues and locations

From iconic start locations to scenic countryside routes, the setting is always part of what makes the experience memorable.

Family-run, rider-led

We ride the routes ourselves and care about the details. That hands-on approach creates a genuinely welcoming, rider-first atmosphere.

Not-for-profit, community focused

Every entry helps fund future events and local cycling initiatives, keeping the focus on riders, not shareholders.

Built by riders, backed by volunteers, and designed to leave you already thinking about the next one.

tpr fair pricing

As a long-standing, family-run Community Interest Company, we pride ourselves on delivering not just a great event day experience, but exceptional value for money. Unlike many, we don’t charge admin fees, hydration and feed stops are included, event photography is free, and our medals are always bespoke to each event and year.

We do everything we can to protect you from rising venue and running costs, which is why we’ve kept almost all events at 2025 prices when you enter using our Early-Bird Discount (available up to 6 weeks before the event). At this point we commit to ordering medals and consumables, and all remaining entries will increase by £2.

We don’t offer entries on the day if an event sells out, and we never oversell, so please enter early, secure your place, and help us make this the best event yet for both you and us.

The Waveney Valley is a quiet, rural and beautiful landscape along the Norfolk-Suffolk border and hugging the river Waveney.

Imagine if the Tour of Flanders, Flèche Wallonne & CiCLE Classic all had an East Anglian child. No major climbs, just unwavering undulations and picturesque rural lanes to test your early season resolve. That is the Waveney Hillseeker.

But Suffolk is all flat, isn’t it? How can it be a hill-seeker? At TPR Events, we love an early-season challenge, and we have designed a route that has more elevation gain than riding the most famous Tour de France mountain climb – Alpe D-Huez. You can expect relentless short and sharp rises on the 100-mile route of nearly 3,600 feet in total. Now that is an early-season challenge on Suffolk’s rural lanes!

With routes of 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles, there’s something for everyone, no matter your experience or bike type. Each route is fully signposted, risk-assessed, and supported by the friendly TPR Events team.

Longer routes include a complimentary lunch, and all riders enjoy free drink and snack stations. Expect cyclists of all ages on all kinds of road bikes, e-bikes, tandems, and more all celebrating Suffolk’s stunning countryside.

Routes

At TPR Events, we’re dedicated to creating the best routes for riders to enjoy. Every route is carefully plotted, analysed, risk-assessed, tested, and fully signposted, giving you the confidence to ride with peace of mind. Plus, all routes will be available to download as GPX files, providing turn-by-turn directions on your phone or GPS device. GPX files will be available a few days before the event, after our final checks for road closures and obstructions.

For the Waveney Hillseeker 2026, we are crafting 4 exciting routes to offer something for every rider:

  • 100 Mile

  • 75 Mile

  • 50 Mile

  • 25 Mile

We are currently working hard to create some unforgettable routes for you to enjoy. We have drafted the routes and have began testing. Route distances and elevation are not final. The final routes will be confirmed once we have ridden them all ourselves and are completey happy with them.

Check back soon for changes!

Event-day Support

The Waveney Hillseeker is supported by Mark from Echelon Cycleworks. Mark will provide our riders with mechanical support and recovery, if you see him on the route or fixing someone on the roadside give him a wave!

Echelon Cycleworks is a Lowestoft based workshop that provides expert Bike Fit, Coaching & Workshop Services.

Echelon Cycleworks has developed a bespoke bike fit service aimed at improving your comfort levels and riding efficiency, especially for TPR Events riders, at a discounted rate. Contact Echelon for more details and say TPR Events sent you!

What bike is suitable?

The Waveney Hillseeker is a road event predominatley set on rural country roads, where the road surface isn’t as smooth as we’d always like it. There will be plenty of short sharp decents and rolling roads.

Any servicable road bike with good brakes is capable of riding this event. Road bikes, e-bikes or gravel bikes with at least 28-32mm tyres will be ideal for this event. Sorry, we can not recommend this event for hand cycles unless you are a very experienced hand-cyclist.
