ABOUT US

We are a small passionate professional events business dedicated to delivering high quality value for money all-inclusive events that we would enjoy riding ourselves.  For big events we are delighted and very thankful to have the willing support and plentiful encouragement of a wide group of friends, family and dedicated volunteers who all share our passion for what we do.

Established in 2012 TPR Community Interest Company have been delivering a mixture of award winning community projects, grassroots cycle racing, coaching for young riders and creating some of the most loved non-competitive mass participation cycling events in our region for riders of all ages and abilities.

We remain a not-for-profit organisation with an enduring aim to engage, inspire and enable our riders to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle using cycling as our vehicle and become a force for positivity within our community.

MEET THE TEAM BEHIND THE SCENES

TPR EVENTS

Helen

Helen is the boss! She manages everything behind the scenes and on the day – she even bakes those delicious homemade flapjacks you tell us you love. Helen joined over 10 years ago and has been instrumental in building our events and keeping us all focussed and on the right path. She also manages the Rider Support phone on event weekends and she is always last off-site at the end of the day.

Neil

Neil founded TPR and led it through its early days of community projects and the creation of the initial Tour de Broads. Since then, thankfully, Helen has taken over almost every element of running TPR which leaves Neil to look after riders on the start/finish line, road signage, tickling the website and riding his bike – something he has loved since 1979 – off and on!

John

Every cycling team needs a rouleur – and ours is John, Helen’s husband. John is tireless behind the scenes before, during and after events and is often seen behind a camera taking pictures. He rides several times a week and is chief route designer & tester. He set the standard for quality route signage with his attention to detail that others now follow.

Chris

Chris is Mr Off-Road and Cross-Country. Having worked for many years with the RSPB he loves the outdoors and his passion is trail riding where he finds all the best routes. With John he designs, tests and signposts our off-road sections. On event days he is always buzzing around on the routes offering rider support.

Ben

Ben has spent most of his life cycling. When not riding, he loves bike-tech. He is our latest team member and is taking over the road routes, road signage, and the website from Dad, Neil. He is also a trained and qualified mechanic and precision bike fitter and has rescued several of you in your hour of need.

Kerstin

In cycling terms, Kerstin is our Super Domestique! For many years TPR’s top friend and volunteer, She is relentless out on the bike churning out 1000’s of miles and balances all of this with a hectic professional career. She is often our chief medic looking after minor abrasions and injuries, so be kind!

Chloe, Jane, Elle & Hannah

The mainstay of our drink and lunch stops and signing-on in the morning are family members Chloe, Hannah, Elle and Jane. They can serve tea and coffee with a smile faster than 53×11 downhill with a tail wind! Drink stops aren’t all glamour, they ensure TPR leaves the village halls in top class condition long after the last rider has munched their flapjack.

Bryan

Bryan/Dad/Grandpa has only ever missed one event that TPR has run! Born in 1927 (do the maths!) he still likes to ride his bike most days and recently treated himself to a brand new bike for his birthday this year. He loves to send you off with encouragement and welcome you each of you back individually with his flag. Keep going Bryan…

Happy cycling, stay safe and healthy and we look forward to welcoming you to an event soon.
